# Podcast Clipping

> You recorded a 60-minute podcast. Now you need 10 short clips for social media to promote it.

## What You Need

* Full podcast recording (video or audio)
* Optional: Graphics or lower thirds

## How to Make It

    Drop the full episode into Cardboard. 30 minutes or 3 hours, doesn't matter.

  <Step title="Find the Highlights">
    **AI finds them automatically:**

    > "Find the 10 best moments from this podcast for social clips. Look for interesting insights, funny moments, strong opinions, quotable lines. Each clip 30-60 seconds."

  <Step title="Polish the Clips">
    "Add captions to all clips"

    "Add lower thirds showing speaker names"

    "Remove the 'um's and long pauses"

    "Add text overlay at the start with the main takeaway"

    "Add my podcast logo in the corner"

    "Convert all clips to vertical (9:16) for Reels"

## Common Prompts

Fine-tune your video with prompts like:

## Video structure

**Hook (0-3 sec):** Text with main takeaway

**The Good Part (3-50 sec):** The actual insight or story

**CTA (50-60 sec):** "Full episode out now"

## Quick Tips

**Start mid-sentence.** Jump straight to the interesting part.

**End on a cliffhanger.** Make them want more.

**Captions are non-negotiable.** Most don't turn sound on.

**Keep it punchy.** 30-60 seconds max.

**One idea per clip.** Don't cram multiple topics.
